Colin Varndell’s Wildlife Year – May: Songthrushes
Songthrushes can be seen throughout Dorset and seem to prefer garden habitats at this time of year. This is probably due to an abundance of shrubs and bushes to nest in, as well as the short grass of lawns where they are able to search for earthworms.
