David Noton’s Dorset
The award-winning, globe-trotting photographer points his camera at Dorset in the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness
Published in November ’11
Milborne Port-based photographer, David Noton, started his business in 1985 with a bicycle, a student overdraft and an Olympus OM1n camera. The multiple prize-winning photographer has since travelled the world, and of course all over Dorset.
In response to a request from Dorset Life, in this issue he tries to capture in photographs the sentiment expressed by John Donne in the words:
‘No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace,
As I have seen in one autumnal face.’
A Christmas ‘special’ of David Noton’s Chasing the Light roadshow is on at the Exchange, Sturminster Newton, 7.30, Wednesday 14 December 2011,
In this virtual round-the-world trip, David Noton will tell the stories and travel adventures behind his most iconic and inspirational landscape, travel, portrait and wildlife photographs – from the Patagonian ice cap to the leafy lanes of Dorset.
